Methods : ASTM D892, IP 146, ISO 6247
This dual transparent water bath system is designed to determine the foaming tendency of lubricating oils, helping identify issues that may lead to poor lubrication, overflow, or cavitation.
The instrument features two baths — a high-temperature bath (typically 93.5 °C) and a low-temperature bath (typically 24 °C) — each accommodating four 1000 ml graduated cylinders. Each bath includes an inner glass vessel housed in a polycarbonate safety chamber with a thermostir unit for precise temperature control.
Integrated back-lighting and an opaque reflector enhance sample visibility for accurate foam measurement. The low-temperature bath includes a cooling coil for temperature stability and air normalising coils to ensure accurate airflow measurement from the high-temperature bath.
